By A Mystery Man Writer

Three whalebone corsets in cream coutil, in two parts laced behind and crocheted in front "à la paresseuse". The first two, in cuirass, date from the Belle Epoque, circa 1900-1905, for an S-shaped silhouette, with four- and five-stitch busks and metal whalebones. Bordered with broderie anglaise at the Chest and two suspenders on each (oxidation at the fastenings). Small stains on one corset, the second clean without laces. Stable condition. Hips 88 cm, waist 58 cm, height 37 cm. In documentation, the third, earlier hourglass corset, circa 1880, is embroidered with red thread (soiling, dings and rust stains).
