Therefore the machinery most suitable for processing flax, was developed in Europe.

When spun, it produces a very strong yarn and makes for fabric that lasts.  Linen fabric becomes softer with wear and is a great choice for warm weather.  Spin this into a lovely yarn or use in a felting project.  Though linen does not felt on its own, it will add a nice sheen to a wet felted or needle felted piece.
