Crochet-Edge Blanket Workshop Part 1 — Sharon Holland Designs
Welcome to the first week of a two-part mini workshop on how to crochet the edges of fabric to create a flannel receiving blanket, burp cloth, or flannel or quilting cotton cloth napkins.
Whether I am creating prints for textiles, sewing, designing quilts, working on graphic design, taking photographs, or laying out the pages of a magazine, I feel I am telling a story. I enjoy using color, texture, scale and motifs to illustrate my ideas.
My love for printed fabric started when I way young. Sewing patchwork quilts allowed me to play with multiple prints at once and was the reason I became a textile designer.
The patterns I design have a nod to vintage prints but with a thoroughly modern twist, perfect for use in home and fashion.
