Meet Meenakshi our Mala maker!  Meenakshi is a 35 year old mother of 2 boys.  She has been stringing malas for 10 years.  She enjoys her work because she works in her home in Rishikesh.  This allows her to work and take care of her 2 children while also helping provide for her family.  Whenever I meet women who are working in India it fills me with joy. Men are typically the workers and bread winner of the household. When women are working it gives them more power at home and puts them on the path to true social equality.
