Jean Stories on

By A Mystery Man Writer

As you may have guessed by now, we at are obsessed with denim this season (or all the time, really). For the office, out on the weekend, even the unconventional kind—well, especially that last one. And so are Jane Herman Bishop and Florence Kane, founders of the all-things-denim site Jean Stories. Clearly meant to devote herself to denim, Jane Herman Bishop started her fashion career selling jeans on the floor of legendary Los Angeles boutique Ron Herman (yes, she's one of those Hermans). Then she moved to New York City to write for Vogue, and, most recently, she was the online editor at T: The New York Times Style Magazine. (And, yes, Jane wrote a lot about jeans along the way.) At Vogue, she bonded with fellow writer and denim-obsessive Florence Kane, who later moved to Los Angeles to be a senior editor at C Magazine. Fast forward to today, and Jane and Florence are both settled in New York and running Jean Stories, a drop-dead-beautiful, shoppable website that profiles the fashion world's movers and shakers in their favorite pair of jeans. (Plus, Jean Stories shares all the latest news and trend updates on everything denim.) To read all
