Hibiscus syriacus 'Pink Chiffon' plants

By A Mystery Man Writer

Although late flowering, a spectacular display from this hardy, deciduous shrub is well worth the wait for one last burst of summer colour. Its branches are laden with lacy, soft pink flowers from late summer to mid-autumn. Each of the blooms are made up with a collar of rounded petals that are finely laced with darker pink veining, and at their centre is a cluster of smaller petals that create an attractive ruffled effect. Hibiscus syriacus 'Pink Chiffon' provides an excellent backdrop to mixed borders, as a specimen plant or trained into a small tree. Height: 2.5m (98"). Spread: 2m (78").

Culinary note: The flowers can be infused to make a mildly citrus flavoured tea. The petals can be cut and added to fruit salads too. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
