Front Packs - Olympic Ultra-Lite
Front packs let you store multiple small and mid-sized items on your shoulder straps for easy access while hiking. Front packs also distribute weight onto the front of your body, giving you a more upright gate. For example, one front pack could hold your trail food for the day, minus diner, inside the main pouch. The other front pack could hold your phone, pocket camera, GoPro, hat and gloves inside. The outer mesh pockets could hold sunblock, lip balm and other small personal care items, or even a folded ball cap or sun hat. Two sizes are available: Small (7.5" tall x 6" wide) and Medium (9" tall x 6.5" wide). The small size Front Pack is slightly larger than our largest shoulder pouch. The medium front pack is even larger, but still compact enough to easy to see your feet while hiking over rough terrain. A pair (right and left) are highly recommended to balance the weight evenly across your chest. You can pair two smalls, two mediums or one small with one medium. Right and left front packs attach snugly to each shoulder strap with space in between, rather than hanging in between the shoulder straps. This keeps the front packs from bouncing around and allows you to easily see your feet while hiking.
